Race Information

PARKING & Shuttle Service: Avoid Race Day traffic by hopping on our free Badger Bus Lines Race Shuttles.  Shuttles will travel to and from WPS (1717 Broadway, Madison) and Arbor Gates (Beltline and Todd Drive, Madison) beginning at 6 am.  Free parking for cars and bicycles is available at the Alliant Energy Center.  Madison Metro route 13 also travels to the Race.  Click here for route 13 map.

REGISTRATION: Race registration can be done online (closes midnight, Wednesday, May 30th) or in person on Friday, June 1st from 9 am - 6:30 pm at the Exhibition Hall, Alliant Energy Center. Race day registration will be available from 6 am-7:45 am on Willow Island at the Alliant Energy Center.

T-SHIRT & BIB PICK-UP: Individual t-shirt and bib pick-up will occur on Friday, June 1st from 9 am - 6:30 pm at the Exhibition Hall, Alliant Energy Center. Pick-up will also be available on Race day from 6 am-7:45 am on Willow Island. Teams of 10 or more members will be invited to Team Packet Pick-Up on Wednesday, May 30th.

2012 Course Map: Click here to view our 2012 Course through the lovely Bay Creek Neighborhood.  Water stations and restrooms will be provided along the Race course on Mile 1, Mile 2, and the Finish Line.  Medical personnel will be located on Willow Island in the medical tent as well as along the race course. 

Timed Runners: As a service to our runners, the 5K Timed Run will begin at 8:20 and will feature a Chrono Track Timing System which is the latest technotogy available with the timing system being part of the race bib.  Blue bibs (pink for survivors) must be worn in order to be timed and eligible for Race prizes.  No exceptions. 

Race Course Safety Rules:

  • No pets, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards or rip sticks are allowed on the course
  • Strollers, wagons and baby joggers are not allowed on the 5K Run.  They are permitted on the 5K and 1.25 Mile Walks.
  • Please stay on the Race Course.
  • Please wear your bib on the front of your shirt.
  • Please obey course marshals and yield to emergency vehicles.
