Dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment and then living
as a survivor can feel overwhelming on all levels. The Susan G. Komen for the Cure®
Madison Affiliate offers a list of local products and services that can help survivors
manage their unique situation and improve their quality of life during and after treatment.

(Group classes, one-on-one services may be available.) Teaches hands-on
cosmetic techniques to help cancer patients cope with appearance-related side effects from
chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Empowers patients as equal partners with healthcare providers to
achieve successful healthcare. Information and services are intended to empower patients
to make decisions, in partnership with providers, about the care they need and want. The
Center advocates for patient choices and preferences with healthcare providers, insurers
and other parties. Advocacy focuses on problem solving and communication to help patients
and providers make good decisions together, and for patients to then get access to the
